Originally founded in the early 1980s, Amesbury Children's Theatre was reignited in 2012 by Michelle Spadafora, with assistance from Bethany Kolanda. The duo had worked together for 10 years running the town of Amesbury's Summer Theatre Program, and were frequently encouraged by parents and participants to venture out on their own!
Working in various spaces throughout town, ACT finally found their own home when they moved into their Studio at 109 Main Street in November 2015. As of July, 2019 we are a non-profit organization. In January 2018 Amesbury Children's Theatre became Amesbury Community Theatre under Director Michelle Spadafora and Assistant Director, Sue Balaam. |
Mission |
The mission of Amesbury Community Theatre is to provide affordable theatrical education and performance opportunities to children and families in Amesbury and surrounding communities. It is our wish to weave ourselves into the creative life of our community and inspire both the artist and audience alike!

Our Future |
In January 2018, Amesbury Children's Theatre formally evolved into Amesbury Community Theatre to more accurately represent our cast members of all ages and backgrounds. It is the diversity of our cast members and unwaivering support of our Board of Directors, parents and community that make our future so bright!
Amesbury Community Theatre will still include summer camp programs; acting, dancing and technical management classes; as well as audition preparation workshops. Come be apart of this exciting time in the ACT family! |
